Identifying Turning Points

Targex Capital’s algorithms attempt to identify exhaustion in selling and to identify possible turning points in individual, high volume Nasdaq stocks. In addition to the algorithm's signals, the model utilizes some principles from the Elliott Wave theory, Fibonacci levels and other technical analysis tools.
Targex trades selected stocks with a short term time horizon. Typical holding period is 1-15 days. Targex algorithms scan the market for stocks that are liquid and suitable for the strategy. Positions are opened with limit orders and closed by limit order (note that the Covestor replication system uses market orders only).
The model uses information from proprietary computer algorithms to make all trading decisions.
Model holdings are not diversified. The model typically holds around 10 to 20 individual stocks, but may hold as little as one holding for extended periods of time. Holdings are short term and are rebalanced within a few days.
All positions are held for at least 24 hours. Positions are held until they meet the manager’s profit target and then sold. If a profit target is not met within two weeks, the manager exits the position using a limit order (note that the Covestor replication system uses market orders only).
