PCM uses primarily bottom-up, company specific analysis but may incorporate top down analysis from time to time as well. PCM buys shares of companies traded on US exchanges predominantly, with an occasional foray onto a foreign exchange. There are no stated limits as to size of a company, region, or industry.
Peattie Capital Management was founded in May, 2007, after I returned east from San Francisco. While PCM is a sole proprietorship, I network with other professional money managers to generate and evaluate investment opportunities. Prior to forming PCM, I was a portfolio manager at SF Sentry in San Francisco, and prior to that managed client portfolios at Montgomery Securities, which is now a unit of Bank of America.
