Safe bet July 05, 2007
One of the blogs I follow is Bill Cara. Once in a while he outspokenly "likes" the prospects of a company very much. Western Goldields was one of them. Other smart people more knowledgeable of the mining industry chimed in, and without being a "goldbug", although I do tend toward asset based, commodity and energy related investments, felt very comfortable buying into WGDF. My average purchase price since 6/5/07 was $2.14, and I am currently up 23%. For the interested:......

Renewable Energy theme July 05, 2007
I bought this stock on 6/12/07, less than a month ago, at 27.54. It is currently up 26%. Admittedly I got lucky. FTEK seemed like a good choice to increase exposure in my preferred Energy sector, and this company in particular is getting plenty of attention from the media heads, which seems to help the companies stock price.
