Graduate of Northeastern University with Dual Major in Computer Science and Business. Papertraded stocks while in college to learn the mechanics of the market. Began actual trading in 2008 and have been working on mastering the art of swing trading ever since. I utilize my background in Computer Science to build models to test my strategies and my business background to filter through the BS that the market tries to feed investors on a daily basis.
I like to focus on small and mid-cap stocks and will employ techniques ranging from market timing, to swing trading, to momentum plays. I like to focus on materials, tech, and biotech companies because I've had positions working for companies in all three of those sectors and know that is where my expertise lies.
I started trading with a college roommate of mine in 2007 when we decided that working a 9-5 was not how we wanted to spend the rest of our lives. To say that 2008 was a rough year to be a newbie trader is an understatement but we battled back and achieved a #1 ranking for concentrated portolios in 2009.
