  • In times of uncertainity... do not try and be a hero. May 20, 2010

Our saying on Wall Street went, "Don't try and pick a bottom, you'll just get stinky fingers!"  It's the truth.  Just compose a buy list of what you want to own, and do 1 thing for yourself... do not look to buy illiquid securities. If you're wrong, you'll get runover, buy liquid names that have a great story to them.  My list includes AVNR, IMOS, ALXA, UNIS as some small caps... UNIS is slightly illiquid but i know of some short term catalyst between now and end of June.

I currently am not short ANH, it was a small position... and for some reason it hasnt been updated that i covered my stock.  What i do, is stocks after they go ex-div... individual retail investors will buy the name higher, when they shouldnt.  Its an easy way to make 1-2% at a time each dividend.  I cant give you the names i play, but i play about 3-5 of them per qtr... must be liquid and a big dividend. ANH is not one of those plays, not liquid enough.

  • Hey everyone! First blog on Covestor. October 27, 2009

It's a rather tough trading environment right now, not much to look at as the markets currently girate up and down.  This churning will lead to either a large move up or downwards coming up soon.  Stay tuned, then you'll start seeing some real multi-day trades initiated... otherwise it'll continue to be quick scalps on daytrades.

    Best of luck to everyone.
