LL a Great Growth Story March 28, 2010
Just yesterday I ran some growth screens using finviz.com and yahoo screener and I came up with LL or Lumber Liquidators. I just worked their numbers today and listened to their conference call and I am certainly interested in what they're doing. the P/E is high (about 27), but that's not too bad for a growth story. They open up about 10 - 20 new stores each quarter and have only been a public company since late 2007 they are up about 170% since then, but they keep opening up stores with a......

A Look at COIN February 09, 2010
Of course it's easy to recommend a stock when it's up twelve percent as it is today, but COIN is certainly a spec play worth a look. I am from Boston and this is a Mass based company and I certainly believe in their ability to get a footing in the market and turn a profit. Lately, management has been making all the right moves and they will continue to grow if the keep at it. Home Depot's re-stocking of their product is just the latest bright moment.
Their presence in Puerto Rico is growing......

Buy MRK Now! February 08, 2010
Maybe the big money has been selling or maybe it was a little overbought, but MRK is looking pretty sweet around $36.60. This one has been on my watchlist for a month now and I don't think it will get much cheaper. I plan to pull the trigger tomorrow, February 9th, and buy around seven shares (Yeah that's right, I make public school money).
The plus four yield, strong balance sheet, and low P/E are all attractive. Also, their drug Elonva was just approved by the EU and it appears that the stock......

A Look at IPHS February 08, 2010
So admittedly I first took notice of IPHS because of Motley Fool and I have since come to realize that those guys are mostly foolish. However, I listened to their most recent conference call before I bought 10.98 shares at $22.40 on January 19th (I'm a school teacher remember). The yield is nice and they seem to have room for modest growth.
Their balance sheet is strong and as soon as they renegotiate some bad deals they made in Mexico they could make a good leap towards the end of 2010. I will......
