Emerging Markets ETF (VWO) April 14, 2009
I wanted some emerging markets exposure as these markets are priced at valuations lower than the US market even though they have more growth potential. I would prefer to invest in individual companies, but chose an ETF because I don't feel I have the time to do the necessary research required for investing in foreign companies.

BRK had been beaten down with the general market and due to some negative publicity about some of Berkshire's holdings. In reality, Buffett has been using Berkshire's huge cash reserves to make smart investments with very little downside. A perfect example is the preferred shares purchased from Goldman Sachs that have potential to be converted to common shares, and pay out 10% in the mean time. I believe Buffett will continue to use the current panic to Berkshire's advantage.
