VIX goes Down ? June 29, 2009
"Complacency as Measured by VIX Returns to Wall Street" when are these people going to realize there is virtually no chance for a V shaped recovery, housing is going to remain in the doldrums (at best) , lending standards have tightened dramatically, the jobs picture is going to be bleak for a long time, bank leverage will not come back to the same extent for decades, if ever, and Peak Earnings are in. I still hold a bearish view towards the US economy and I believe in the thesis of growth is......

US $ Position June 29, 2009
I have turned bullishe towards the US dollar. Witht the euro lacking behind the US in recovery. I see dollar having a bullish trend in the next few quaters. I have started adding UUP to take adventage of this move.

Global Slow down November 11, 2008
With the global economy slowing down and US already in recession the demand for oil will go down. OPEC trying to cut production will have very little impact and the non OPEC countries will still continue producing what they were producing before. DUG will be a very good play as a short term play. It can be used as a hedger too.
