WFR misunderstood July 11, 2007
WFR seems to trade in concert with the chip sector and I understand the reason why. Since WFR is a poly-silicon producer whose main product used to be silicon wafers used in chip manufacture I understand how it got linked to the chip industry. The time for that de-linkage is now. The growth of the solar-power industry in the last 2 years has created a market for WFR products that are entirely free from the chip sector cycles. A core holding. This PBM has only had one losing year in its 15 year history. The company continues to outperform EPS growth projections and analysts continue to believe its growth is slowing even though the numbers show no sign of it. Buy on any negative news dip and hold for the long term. Breakdowns tend to be temporary lasting 3 to 6 months. Uptrends can last for years with no significant reversal. Two items will drive growth for the next 5 years: generics and specialty pharmacy. If a pathway......
