  • Surely this is the bottom...isn't it? March 14, 2009

As I said back in November there was a raft of people calling the bottom then and since then we have seen the markets dump off a huge percentage more. This week we see a few days up and suddenly, once again, we are flooded with "this time it's the bottom" articles.

  • So this time it's the bottom, right? November 21, 2008

I just had a quick look down my RSS reader at the financial sites and so many of them have an article entitled something like 'This is the bottom'. I found myself asking why they all wrote about this.

  • What to do next? September 28, 2008

This has been a weird experience, volatility is high and yet I have hardly made a trade recently. Bizarrely in this weird market I have seen most of my long positions hold their trend, while my shorts have gone away to be replaced with....well nothing! Why I hear you ask as though yo almost cared, well let me explain....

Firstly the restrictions on shorts mean that even the positions I held were being threatened with closure, which is nice of the SEC/Fed as I was not a naked short seller, but not......
