Natural Gas February 21, 2008
Electric plants fired by natural gas have a standard design that's relatively easy to build. Compared to plants fired by coal, gas plants require less material such as steel and concrete and even take less time to build. If you have noticed, construction prices are not very cheap today.
Natural gas also releases less carbon per unit of energy and is more environmentally sound than coal, which is the general direction I feel energy will be heading.
