Is OSTK cookin' da books? April 22, 2008
Accounting Scandal at OSTK. Let me sum it up for ya, they put lipstick on a pig by changing their accounting standards from GAAP to Non-GAAP which allowed them APPEAR to have better than expected earnings.

Potential Breakout on GOOG April 08, 2008
*Edit April 14th 2008... "This idea was a total flop, GOOG has passed through the triangle that I drew around the price action (doesn't GOOG know I am always right?) Anyway, Mea Culpa the breakout failed on 4/7. I don't like the slow grind upward with a earnings release so close. I usually like to play options on this (most of the time value is gone and you can get a high delta for low $$$) BUT this just screams AUCHTUNG! DANGER!

Sell off after earnings strategy April 07, 2008
Maybe you've noticed a stock that has a big run up before earnings only to sell off regardless of the news?
RIMM has sold off after the last two positive earnings reports, and I've been taking quick downside profits.
On April 7th I shorted the weakness after the gap up in the morning with an April 08 130 put option (+RULPV) with a delta of .70, a small spread, and ample volume and open interest.
Bought one contract for $9.60 @ 10:12 AM, sold for $10.50 @ 10:57 AM for a quick $90.00 profit per......
