May was a fairly good month for me, not what the previous couple months were but still positive.

This blog is starting a little bit later in the month, I wanted to wait for the May job loss count to come out and it did, at 345,000 compared to estimates thoughts of 525,000.  This along with the S&P breaking through and now staying above the 200 dma all these signs are bullish which makes me an optimist until S&P 1000 or just over.  As for my current holdings:

COP, Earnings report comes out around April 14th.  With the price of oil now hovering around 50 a barrel I think this will......

  • Raionale for CAT March 12, 2009

I like CAT for a play on China's stimulus plan, I see that plan being more geared towards infrastructure and Caterpillar is the perfect play for that.  I like the level that I bought CAT at and also, the dividend.  I don't know how safe that divy is, but in the far future this will be an explosive stock with what I believe is a stable bottom here in the low to mid 20's.
