Throwing good money after bad... August 06, 2008
I have not done this since the internet bubble burst. So why would I do it now?
This stock seems to be getting punished for no good reason. Another very strange factor is the primary China solar company STP went up 6+% on a day when the YGE was punished 7%. Piper Jaffary kept the $45 price target.
I admit that I am getting a bit agressive based on my ego and not wanting to......

Rational for DRYS July 30, 2008
It's basically a long term "story" play.
They have aggressive managment, seem to be in a good business for the world economy and they have good looking numbers. I like to follow the PEG ratio. Anything with a PEG ration under 1.0 is great. For example, MSFT has a PEG of 1.08, AAPL is 1.27... DRYS is .05! That is the lowest PEG ration I have ever seen. This stock has been as high as 113 just a couple of months ago. Hope that helps.

YHOO - What's it worth? May 06, 2008
If Microsoft is willing to pay $33 for this company, I think $24 seems to be cheap. Something tells me this deal isn't over. Yang doesn't know what he's got till it's gone. There must be some huge egos at work here. I think if Gates was running the show the deal would be done, and cheaper. This is not a long term idea for me, but I will be disappointed not to see 10% in the next 2 weeks.

My first Covestor trade.... January 05, 2008
And my first trade in 2008! I spend hours a week looking at other covestor members material, following trades, and trying to see if there are any great ideas. While many ideas look enticing, I have yet to trade one. Well, yesterday I made my first "covestor" trade. My timing could have been better; however since I'm so busy at work, I cannot find time to make a trade. So I put in a good till canceled order. That was my mistake. The position held up nicely in a "blood bath" day. My......
