Major Grief August 31, 2007
Purchased this stock, hoping to see more Nokia deals. WinLan owns patents, and seeks out company's using those patents. Nokia settled for the use of one such patent for 75 million I considered this a good thing and foresaw that other telecoms would follow - no one did, and at the end of July - being the date that WinLan set as its get tuff date the excitment exited "stage right" and the stock dropped - I have taken my loss and moved on - not a pretty site

A Railway with great operating ratios August 31, 2007
From the Halifax in the East to Vancouver in the West, and service from Toronto to New Orleans. Rail is cheaper than truck, why not own the most efficient Rail operating in North America - and maybe that's the catch, however, there is a lot of raw material that must be moved to the ports, and a lot of manufactured goods that must reach the interior cities.

Defense Play August 31, 2007
Allan Vangaurd was incorporated as Vehicle Response Services hence the Symbol ca:VRS This is a Hi-Tech company makes eclectronic counter measures equipment, which seeks out and isolates roadside bombs, so that they cannot be triggered with remote radio devices. The downside is that it sells almost soley to Lockheed Martin and supplies component systems for the 523 Symphony, althought it appears to have lock on this area - it is the sales concentration that should sent out alarms.
