I am a portfolio manager for a Commodity Pool which trades environmental credits in various voluntary and compliance markets. I also run a private hedge fund which specializes in small cap equity- pure stock picking with a short-medium term holding period.
Investment style
With a background in hotel and restaurant management, I tend to focus a lot of my research on consumer discretionary and consumer staples stocks. Additional interests include energy and renewable energy stocks, and biotech. I pick stocks with products I understand and business models that seem timely and appropriate for current macroeconomic events.
How I got started
Began investing at age 12- convinced my mother to buy me shares in Mattel toys as my Christmas present that year.
