JBHT Watchlist idea December 03, 2007
JB Hunt is a premier Truckload company. Although JBHT has big a Truckload component, their Intermodal group is the key segment and continues to grow at a fast pace. It appears that a weak first quarter is already baked into the price of most trucking stocks. The second half of the year should see some improvement against easier comparisons and volumes bottom. I am going to start building a position soon.

Norfolk Southern is the second most profitable Class I railroad in North American yet it trades at the cheapest valuation. The market is discounting the fact that the railroad has the largest exposure to the automotive market at around 10%. Foreign transplant growth should offset any continued weakness from the "Big 3".
