My full time job is an engineer making precast concrete commercial buildings. This takes discipline and attention to detail to complete a project on time - both qualities that are also essential to investing success.
I use a bottom up fundamental approach to stock selection with strict buy and sell rules developed through extensive back testing and real money observations.
As a kid, my father spent many evenings making homemade stock charts on graph paper. While in college, I purchased my first stock, Orion Pictures, and then became increasingly interested and active in the market.. After taking a beating in mutual funds when the tech bubble burst, I decided to take a more active role in his investments.
Upon tiring of buy and hold, I jumped to the other extreme and quit my job to day trade. Over a year of day trading taught me some expensive lessons.
My personal interests consist mainly of relaxing with yard work and motorcycle riding. I’ve ridden my bike to almost all of the lower forty-eight states.
